Preacher: Jonathan Coleman | Series: John | We look at two themes from the opening chapter of John: The Word and Creation. The Word: Jesus is ’The Word’ – The ultimate communication of who God is – The visible image of the invisible God.   Creation. John hinting at what God is doing through Jesus life death and resurrection: A New Creation. And at the same time taking our thoughts back to eternity past where God the Father has always been loving his son – from before the foundations of the earth (17:24). Before all things God is a father. It is into this eternal relationship, this trinity, that God invites us. That’s the final prayer of Jesus. That we might be in them and know the love of the Father. (20:20). Rest in the bosom of our Father.
