The Story that John tells us in his gospel – the word becoming flesh – is not a story about God saving us out of this world but of the creator stepping into this world, his good creation, to put it right – to renew it. In Jesus we are made new, in Jesus the whole of creation will be made new. And today we celebrate the bursting forth of this new life on Easter day when Jesus is raised again.
